thanks for your comments, I guess my suet is just to tempting a treat to pass up, especially since I have such a large yard and lots of woods around me I guess it helps them feel comfortable enough to get close. sure are chatty little guys too.

They don’t come to our feeders, but I see them along the trail in the park pretty regularly. I have been keeping an eye out for the carolina wrens, but so far I’ve had no luck in that department.

I think they are amazing birds. I couldn’t believe the way he gracefully swooped through the trees without crashing into anything.

Beautiful birds. Our weather here took a chill for this time of the year – it was unusual for it to be about 56F yesterday morning. We loved it though because it’s gonna get hot real soon.

I’m so glad you caught sight of him again. What a great series of photos! I have an Android app with bird calls, but it never occurred to me to try using them in the field to see what reaction I might get. Very clever of you!
