Welcome to my trail walking blog. Spring, summer, autumn, or winter: I love to walk the trails whatever the season, and I created this blog to share the many wonders I encounter when I am out and about. Most of my trail walking is done near my home on the southern shore of Lake Erie in northeast Ohio. The golden willow tree, pictured above, can be seen on Lotus Pond in Holden Arboretum. One of my favorite places for trail walking, the Arboretum is only 10 miles from my front door. But you will find many other trail walks recounted on the pages of this blog, as well as some family events and photos from occasional road trips.
If you love spending time outdoors, you can become a virtual Trail Walker by visiting the “About Trail Walker” link in the menu at the top of this page, and then clicking on the “Follow Me” button in the sidebar of the page that opens. If you aren’t already following my trail walks, please click that button. I hope to inspire you by sharing my trail walks and showing how much fun you can find by traveling the trails with a camera.
Thanks for visiting today.
Come back any time to join me for another trek along the trails.

Hello Trail Walker,
I found you on a WordPress search. I couldn’t believe your list of “blogs I follow”. 6 of the 7 are blogs we also follow. In fact, the author of “terminatedfreedom” is an old friend of ours (we call her Spitfire in our posts), and she was the inspiration for our site “2oldguyswalking”. As well, we cruise past Campbellcroft Mill on a weekly basis and shout out to Dom on our way by. “Walkacrosslondon” was our first international follower back in 2013. Amazing coincidences eh ? All that notwithstanding, I very much admire your pictures, and like your conversational style of writing. I look forward to perusing your site over the cold Winter evenings to come.
Bye for now,

Thank you for walking along my trail, and stopping to leave a comment. I can’t wait until I have a little free time (hopefully next week after the holidays) to spend some time visiting with you 2 old guys. It promises to be a truly good time.

Thank you, Cynthia. We are having another cold day, but with the promise that things are going to warm up later this week. Unfortunately, they are predicting more rain than sun. Sigh!

We do get so eager for spring— and want a pleasing mix of rain, sun, warm and cool.

Hi, I haven’t seen you for quite a while. It was nice to see a like on Just Married, so I followed you home. As always I found a lovely bird to look at!
