This handsome northern cardinal is here to introduce a series based on the theme All Things Bright and Beautiful. He is the state bird of Ohio, and because he posed so nicely, he gets to represent my corner of Ohio today. See you again tomorrow.

Your pictures are great. May I ask which lens do you use?

Thank you very much. The lens I use for bird pictures is the AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm. For landscapes I usually use the AF-S Nikkor 18-105mm. Both lenses have VR. I would like to have a wider angle for landscapes, but that just isn’t in my budget.
