The pictures on this gallery demonstrate how quickly Autumn is advancing. Sadly, the brilliant fall colors are losing their luster. Winter is coming, but that doesn’t mean trail walking is over for the year. As long as you dress for it, you can still enjoy being outdoors, so get out your winter garb because we are going to need it soon.

Thanks, Terri. My plan is to walk through the winter, except for the single degree days and when the trail is dangerously icy. That’s the way I have done it in the past, although last winter was an icy cold exception. I definitely didn’t get enough exercise last winter.

This is a superb set of photographs…sadly the recent winds have blown the leaves off the trees where I live, so it is nice to see them in these shots 🙂

The trees have been beautiful well into November, but now, as I write this reply, the fall colors are mostly gone.
