Fighting hunger one step at a time!
Every year in October our church participates in the annual CROP WALK, sponsored by Church World Service. People of all ages invite their friends and neighbors to sponsor them for the walk and the money collected is distributed where it is needed to fight hunger in our local community and around the world. Yesterday was a beautiful fall day, but whatever the weather, sun, wind, rain, or freezing cold, the walkers gather to walk through our downtown streets on Sunday afternoon to raise awareness that hunger is still a very real problem in our world, one that should concern each one of us.
