I’ve heard that it’s a good idea to dial back your exercise routine every few days, and today I discovered the value of that advice. Because of an all day downpour yesterday and a full schedule, I hadn’t taken to the trail for several days. Today I laced up my shoes and headed out, discovering that I was unconsciously walking faster and farther than I did last week. So lesson learned! From now on I will ease off at least once each week.
