My day was divided into three parts: the visit to the dentist, a trail walk in the Arboretum, followed by sitting down at the computer to process and post the pictures. I'm sure you can guess which part of my day was the most fun. It was a fabulous day for a trail walk, and …

Autumn is definitely here; I can see countless signs! With winter nipping atĀ ourĀ heels (sob-sob), I'm trying my best to take advantage of the beautiful weather we are enjoyingĀ right now. Who's to say how long it will be before Jack Frost sneaks onto the scene and dramatically changes the landscape.Ā With that in mind, I headed for …

I'm not comfortable in high places... Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to making the climb at Holden...or at least attempting it. I'm hoping the monopod will steady my camera and help me get sharper images. What do you think? Did it do the job? Feedback is appreciated at any and all times. Thank …
...you could haveĀ given me a break by carrying my monopod part of the time. Just kidding really, but I wouldn't have turned you down if you had offered because carrying it is a new discipline for me... Ā and discipline is possibly the best way to describe it because I'm not yet accustomed to carrying (or …
Walking along the trail in the arboretum for the first time in months, I came upon this weathered bench. I thoughtĀ about sitting down to enjoy the view, but when I noticed the pretty purple flower, growing upĀ from behind the bench,Ā I decided instead to take a picture. I have no idea what the flower is, but …
...I went for a photowalk in the Holden Arboretum, one of my favorite places to spend time with (or without) my camera. My chosen destination was the butterfly garden, but once there, I saw very few Ā butterflies. There was a hummingbird flitting around in the colorful flowers, but he wouldn't sit for a photo opp, …
